Lily sat on the bench overlooking the ocean. It was a nice day on the island; sunny, with a gentle breeze. She looked out over the water and smiled lightly. This was her favorite place on the island. This was the one place where she could come and escape and let her mind wonder. It was peaceful up here. Lily sighed gently as she leaned back against the bench. Her mind was so full and a majority of it was thoughts that she knew that she shouldn't be thinking. They all revolved around one person in particular. One person who was forbidden and she knew it. But for some reason, she couldn't stop thinking about him. His face, his eyes, his smile had haunted her for as long as she could remember. With another sigh, Lily closed her eyes and let her thoughts consume her. She was tired of fighting her thoughts. She always wound up thinking them in the end anyway.

Ethan needed a break working on getting the club open and his demo record was just getting to be two much and he had gotten into a fight with his flavor of the week. He sighed as he ran a hand over his head and slid he hands back into his hoodie as he walked.
The cliffs where his favorite spot to come to relax and forget about what was bothering him. He pushed his sunglasses up on his nose and looked around. He froze in mid step when he saw Lily sitting on a bench over looking the ocean. She was one of the things he was trying to forget and her she was. The forbidden fruit, the one girl he wanted and could not have. His best friends little sister Lily. He had not idea what to do about it. He just knew he should stay away from her but could not stay away from.
He took a deep breath as he found himself walking over to her. He leaned down behind smile as he did. "Just what are you doing here and shouldn't you be in classes or something." He whispered into her ear as he leaned in he knew it was a mistake the second he did it. The way she smelt over took all his senses and he found himself smiling her hair not able to get enough of just how good she smelled. He closed his eyes and then opened then when he realized that he was doing and moved so he was sitting next to her on the bench. He smiled at her as he sat down and put and arm over the back of the bench and watched her. She looked beautiful and took his breath away.

Lily jumped slightly in the air when someone spoke into her ear. She realized that it was Ethan and relaxed slightly. After a moment, she opened her eyes and looked over at him. She took in his appearance and couldn't help but swoon gently, in her head of course. He looked better than he had the last time she had seen him. God, the universe seemed to be against her lately.
She shrugged at his question. "I am done with classes for today. On tuesday all my classes are in the morning. My last one just finished like thirty minutes ago," She told him as she sat up straighter on the bench. "So I came up here to think. It is a good spot to come and think."
She looked away from him and turned her attention to the ocean and watched the water as it crashed against the shore. "It's peaceful, you know," She said. She looked back at him. "So, what are you doing here?"

Ethan smiled as her as she rambled on about classes being over. He placed his hand on her shoulder and sat back and looked out over the ocean. He so wanted to pulled her close to him. "You are right it is peaceful here and I seem to remember telling you one time that this was my favorite place to come." He said as he looked over at her again.
He reach out and slid a lock of her hair behind her ear when the wind caught it and blew it into her face. "I had to get away. The club is driving me nuts and I can't concentrate on my demo and Kellsie and I got into a fight and I told her to get lost and she keeps texting me wanting me to call her and I am done and needed to get away from it so I decided to take a break and ended up here." He said to her as he let his hand drop back into his lap before he did something stupid. "Want to to tell me what you are thinking about?" He asked her giving her one of his famous smiles.

Lily shurgged and smiled lightly. "You did? I don't seem to remember that," She said and smiled at him. She was silent for a minute as she looked back out towards the water. She shivered gently when he placed his hand on her shoulder. She looked back over at him. "But you were right. It is the most peaceful place on the island to come and think. No one hardly comes up here."
She nodded. "Ah, the drama of island life," She said as she bit her bottom lip when he tucked her hair behind her ear. "Although, if I am honest, I never liked Kellsie so I can't be to sorry about that. But I am sorry about the demo and the club. I don't think my brother is a big help with that, is he?" She smiled lightly when he smiled at her before shaking her head gently. "Not particularly. I mean, it's nothing really important."

Ethan laughed when she said she didn't remember him telling her this was his favorite spot. "See shows just how much you listen to me." He said smiling at her. "A lot of people don't come here any more not with Sasha's new house being up here now and all." He said to her as he looked across to the one of the other cliffs that has their friends new house on it over looking the ocean.
He looked down at her. "Yeah the drama of island life." He said smiling at her. "I know you didn't like her. I am sorry I didn't listen to you but then you don't like any of the girls I go out with." He said wondering why that was but decided he didn't want to know. "Nathan tries but he does the best that he can, but I don't want to talk about Nathan right now." He said as he moved so he was sitting on the bench facing her. He slid a hand out touched her cheek with the back of his finger as he looked down at her. "Talk to me Lily I know something it on your mind tell me what is going on in that pretty head of yours." He said smiling at her and wishing she would open up to him. They had always been close but lately that has seemed to change. He knew it was mostly his fault because of his feeling for her he started to pull away from her for fear of acting on what he was feeling for her. "You can tell me any thing Lily." He said to her.

Lily smiled lightly. "Well, I listen mostly. Minus the times that you ramble," She said to him. She looked over towards Sasha's house. "Man, I would love to have Sasha's house. The view is just amazing. Looking out every morning and seeing the ocean."
"Hey, that isn't totally true. I liked that one girl you dated that one week," She told him as she thought back. Okay, so she didn't really know for sure, but there had to be at least one person she dated that she had liked. She laughed gently. "Now you know how I feel when everyone goes on and on about how awesome my brother is." She held back the smile that wanted to escape when he touched her cheek. She sighed gently at his question, thinking about the best way to answer. After a moment, she thought of it and looked at him. "There is this guy. But there are.....circumstances....and I don't know. It is just really complicated."

Ethan smiled and nodded her head. "Yes it does have a amazing view. Nathan and I was inside of there yesterday when we helped her take Sophie home and helped her move some of her things in. We didn't want her going back to the old house not after what had happened there." He said shuttering at the though of what their friend has been through in the last couple of weeks.
He laughed as she talked about Nathan. "I always knew that he was like. I never doubted that." He said smiling at her. He laughed again when she could not think of a name of one of the girls he had dated. "See no need to say more you can't even think of a name of one that you like." He said teasing her, if truth be told there were so many he could not remember all there names. He was not about to tell her that thought. He sighed as she talked about there being someone she liked but it being complicated. "How can it be complicated if you like a guy just tell him. It can't be all that bad." He said hating that he was sending her to another guy when he wanted her for himself.

Lily looked at him and nodded. "Well, that was nice of you and Nathan. I wouldn't want to go back to the old house, nor would I want anyone too after that," She told him as she leaned back on the bench. "So, how is Sasha doing?"
"I could think of a name," She told him, "But I was just put on the spot and I can't think under pressure." She knew full well that she couldn't think of one, even on a normal day. She had found something to hate in all of the ones that he had dated. She sighed and shook her head. "Like I said, it is complicated. There are people involved and I don't even know how to explain it. Besides, he probably doesn't like me back."

Ethan sighed and looked at her as he ran a hand over head. "I don't know she is putting on a brave face but I think she is hurting really bad and is scared to death. She has a new born baby to take care of and is trying to deal with learning about her mother's affair with Luck's father and then her father killing them and himself. I don't really know how she is doing. She is closing her self off from us. You might want to call her later and see if you can get her to talk to you." He suggested knowing Sasha really needed all her friends right now. He thought of Sasha as a little sister and was really worried about her.
He slid his hand up into her hair and so she was looking into his eyes. "Lily if he does not like you then he is either, gay, nut or just stupid. It can't be that complicated just tell him you like him and let the rest fall where it does." He said looking her eyes and he shoved the jealousy he was feeling away. She was not his he had no right to feel like this. He know it was wrong but could help how he felt.

Lily nodded at him. "Yeah, I think that I will call her tonight. I haven't talked to her in a while. I miss not talking to her," She said as she nodded. "I am just worried about saying the wrong thing and then her getting mad at me. Sasha is one of my best friends and I really don't want to say the wrong thing to her."
Lily sighed and looked down at the ground when he finished talking. She shook her head at him. "Yeah, well, my brother is involved and he makes everything complicated." She told him. She sighed gently again. She wanted to tell him, she really did, but she was scared of how he would react and what her brother would think.

Ethan nodded agreeing with her. "I know she is one of your best friends. You, her, Haley, and Peyton at like sisters. I thought you four were going to give me and Nathan gray hairs before our time." He said laughing as he though of some of the stunts they pulled. "Call her you can't say the wrong thing. Be there for her. She is going to need a lot of help with Sophie and that baby is so cute." He said with a smile. "Did I tell you she threw up all over your bother when he was holding her." He said laughing at the memory and how Nathan reacted it was funny at hell.
He stopped laughing and looked at her in confusion. Trying to figure out what she meant by that. "Just who is it that you like and what the hell does Nathan have to do with it." He said seeing how scared he was. "Tell me Lily don't have to be scared you can tell me any thing." He said to her as he leaned forward and kissed her on her forehead and then looked down into her eyes. God he wanted to kiss her but he couldn't he needed to know just who it was that she liked that had her so damn scared. It could not be that bad, he thought.

Lily smiled and shook her head. "We weren't that bad," She said, "And besides, I think I gave Nathan gray hairs on my own. I think that is why he constantly is shaving his head. So people don't know." She laughed gently at the thought. She nodded at Ethan. "Yeah, I think I will call her." She laughed gently at his story and shook her head. "You didn't tell me that," She said.
"You! Okay? I like you!" Lily said as she stood up and began pacing in front of the bench. "I have sense I was about fifteen and I have tried to stop, but I can't." She sighed gently, still pacing. "And I know I shouldn't like you. You are my brother's best friend, which makes matters complicated. Besides, you don't even like me that way. I am like your little sister. And, even given all that, I can't help it."

Ethan laughed as her comment. "Yes you were and you know it." He said smiling at her. He sighed looked out at the ocean again for a minute. "She really needs all of us. You know how she is. She keeps everything inside until she can't handle it any more." He said thinking of what she was like after Lucas left her.
He looked at her in shook when she jumped up and said that it was him that she liked. He was left dumb founded for a minute. He could only watch her. He shook his head and got up and grabbed her by her shoulder's so she would stop pacing and was facing him. "I don't think of you as a little sister Lily. I don't think of you as a sister at all." He said looking down into her eyes. He was still trying to proses this. She liked him it was him. Now he just had to figure out how to deal with it. He liked her to as he looked down at her he gave into what he has wanted to do for a long time. He pulled her flush against his body. "I liked you two." He said as he lowered his head and kissed her. Thinking to hell with that would happen later he just needed to kiss her now.

Lily smiled at him and nodded. "I will call her later tonight. Or I might stop by and say hi. See if she needs anything," She said. She thought back to the time that Lucas left and nodded. "Sasha was a wreck after he left, but no one knew it for the longest time."
Lily gasped gently when he grabbed her shoulders and stopped her from pacing. She looked down at the ground and frowned. He didn't even think of her like a sister. She sighed gently. She was about to move out of his grasp and make up some excuse about having to go home, when he suddenly pulled her flush against him. At first, she didn't respond to the kiss, to shocked to react. After a moment, she got her barrings and began to kiss him back, wrapping her arms around his neck.
